Product Description
With a 5th generation 802.11ac chipset, the RT-AC56R AC1200 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Router from ASUS offers enhanced wireless data transfer rates of up to 1167 Mbps. In addition to supporting the 802.11ac Wi-Fi network standard, this ASUS router also operates on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies making it easy to allocate more bandwidth-intensive tasks to the less congested 5 GHz frequency.
The RT-AC56R also comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports making it easy to connect Ethernet enabled devices such as game consoles, computers, smart TVs, and more directly to the router. Along with Ethernet connectivity, this router features a single USB 2.0 port and a single USB 3.0 port to connect USB compatible peripherals to the network.
Setting up the RT-AC56R router is simple thanks to the three-step setup process that can be conducted from your tablet, smartphone, or computer. Once the router is plugged in, just open a web browser on your device, enter the ID and password, and begin accessing your network. Once the setup is complete, a network administrator can utilize the ASUSWRT dashboard to manage a variety of settings including Quality of Service (QoS) standards to ensure connected devices have sufficient bandwidth to operate smoothly.
