The military-specification Newcon Optik 7x50 AN Binocular is favored by special operations and law enforcement units because of its reticle and compass functions, but also makes a good boating binocular. It is a no-nonsense and utilitarian 7x full-size that's stocky and easy to hold. And as a 7x50 porro prism with extreme depth of field and center focusing, it is a decidedly rare combination. There's an abundant 23mm of eye relief, and the 7x50 AN M22 is tested to withstand substantial shock and moisture impact.
